As a relatively new artist, discovering and developing my signature style and approach to photography has been an exciting journey. I would describe my work as bold and sophisticated, showcasing my artistic expression. I enjoy using vibrant colors, rich textures, and incorporating interesting shapes and lines into my photographs. To enhance the visual impact, I often employ techniques like high contrast and shutter drag to artistically interpret my subjects.
What is it link being represented with Ford Models as a photographer?
People often ask me about my experience being represented by Ford Models as a photographer. I am happy to share my thoughts on this matter. I believe that being represented as an artist is a personal decision that should be based on individual needs rather than the belief that it will automatically advance one’s career. Personally, my experience with Ford Models has been fantastic. Behind the legendary name are some amazing individuals who have believed in me from the beginning, which is rare to find in representation. Having an agent allows me to focus on my passion without the added stress of negotiating payment, as they handle those aspects for me. They also ensure that my best interests are protected and provide valuable insights from a client’s perspective, while I approach everything with an artist’s eye. Despite having representation, I still remain dedicated to hustling to bring in clients and continue to do the work required for success.
Can you share any valuable lessons you’ve learned about client communication and project management?
When it comes to client communication and project management, the most valuable lesson I’ve learned is to prioritize honesty. It is essential to be clear about what you can and cannot do, as well as what you need to successfully complete a project. Listening to your clients’ needs and understanding what they value most is crucial. For example, I once had a client who was particularly concerned about lighting due to a previous issue they had encountered. To address their concerns, I reassured them by visually demonstrating the impact of my lighting techniques through before and after comparisons while tethered. I also took the time to walk them through the process. When it comes to working with my team, I always prioritize respect and kindness. If adjustments are needed or if I need a makeup artist to pivot, I utilize a constructive approach by using the sandwich method – starting with a compliment, stating what needs to be changed, and concluding with another compliment. Constructive criticism is essential in maintaining a positive and effective working relationship.
Describe your dream photo shoot.
My dream photoshoot would involve capturing a group shot of both men and women in an exotic location outside of the country. I would love to have the opportunity to work with the amazing hair stylists, makeup artists, and fashion stylists I currently collaborate with, with access to a wide range of fashion options. As I reflect on this question, I realize that I am already living my dream. Creating magic with the talented individuals I work with, despite limited resources, is truly a dream come true.
How do you stay organized and manage your time effectively when juggling multiple projects or clients?
Managing multiple projects and clients while staying organized and effective with time management can be challenging. Personally, I rely on a to-do list and make sure to write down everything that needs to be accomplished. I try to tackle tasks right away to avoid procrastination. Additionally, I am not afraid to delegate responsibilities when necessary, whether it means bringing in a producer for a project or hiring retouchers. I strive to do my best in staying organized and managing my time effectively, even though it may be a constant struggle.
How did you get into photography and why fashion?
Photography has always been a passion of mine. There is something profound about capturing a still image that has the power to captivate and evoke emotions. While a video can tell a complete story, an image leaves room for interpretation and allows the viewer to feel a certain way without having all the details. I started my photography journey during the COVID-19 pandemic, approximately three years ago. Fashion photography specifically interests me, although I was not initially drawn to it. However, as people commented on the fashion-like qualities of the images I appreciated, I realized that fashion played a crucial role in storytelling for me. I discovered that I had a strong preference for certain wardrobe choices, as it was an essential part of the overall photo. Therefore, I have embraced the label of being a fashion photographer, while also considering myself an artist. Although fashion photography comes naturally to me, my ultimate goal is to venture into the realm of fine art photography.

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day?
After a long day, I find solace in unwinding. Although I tend to be a workaholic, I do have a few favorite ways to relax. In the summer, I love going to the beach and watching the sunset. There is something calming and therapeutic about being
